#TeamWP: Meet Peiwen, Customer Acquisition Manager

How does Whitepages Premium make sure it’s providing the best product for the right customers? While there are many dynamic Whitepagers working behind the scenes to answer that question, Peiwen leads the charge as our Customer Acquisition Manager, optimizing our Search Engine Marketing (SEM). SEM was new to Peiwen when she joined the team, but her background in analytics, her perseverance, and her natural curiosity made her a perfect fit! Peiwen spends her days working closely with her team to understand our customers and implement the most effective marketing strategies. She is passionate about reaching millions of users with the ultimate goal of connecting them to the right Premium products. When she’s not working on her laptop perched in the bay window of the Great Room (she doesn’t like desks much!), you can find Peiwen snacking on some Pop Chips, sipping a cup of coffee, and staring out over the landscape of the city in our downtown Seattle office.

What’s your hometown?
Tijuana, Mexico.

What does being a Whitepager mean to you?
It means owning everything that I do and accepting that not everything will always work out. One of the most important parts of any process are the lessons we learn and being even better the next time we try. My team is full of “doers” who will do everything in their power to get things done, even if they are not initially familiar with the task.

What’s been the most influential piece of technology in your life so far?
Pandas in Python. It’s made my life so much easier. It was like putting on glasses and seeing the world for the first time.

What’s the last TV show you binge-watched?
American Horror Story and Bones.

What do you do when you have 30 minutes of free time?
I play Stardew Valley.

What’s your favorite meme?
Absolutely Barbaric, especially when referring to hard-shell tacos. I am a purist.

What’s your favorite downtown lunch spot?
Shiki, a Japanese joint on Roy St. I recommend the Porkbelly Donburi.

What’s the last vacation you went on?
I went to Cartagena and Bogota to a friend’s wedding. Colombians can plan a party!

What’s your favorite Whitepages memory (so far)?
There are many, but my favorite one is when our Carepages affinity group went down to Youthcare’s Orion Center to cook and serve lunch to homeless teenagers.
