Getting The Scoop on Former Classmates

“Whatever Happened To…” is the phrase that launched a million searches on the web. Particularly around school reunions, we see an increase in the number of visitors at WhitePages.com who are looking for old friends.

We hear from users that often they’re just looking for ‘the scoop’ on an old friend or foe – to learn where they live, if they live in a nice neighborhood, family info, or where they work. You can learn a lot about your old classmates – before the reunion – without even picking up the phone.

Start with a People Search. Once you’ve found the right person, our Listing Detail page contains more demographic information on the person’s home address – so you can find out if they’re in a luxe neighborhood or a big city.

From the Listing Detail page, you can also click on our Power Web Search feature, which includes three sources of additional information. You can view Web Results that are tailored from your people search – in user testing, we often get better results due to our own heuristics than those other, more general search engines. Another tab within Power Web Search contains free public records summaries where you can find age and former addresses. A third tab contains Professional Records information so you can see if those classmates have landed a job at the top (or perhaps are still trying to determine their major).
