Checking out your future neighbors

In my continuing series on new ways of using WhitePages.com for house shopping, this post focuses on checking out the neighbors – before you even see the house.

There are two ways you can find your neighbors: First, conduct a Reverse Address search for your home and click on the Find Neighbors link from our results page. In addition, you can also use our Find Neighbors search form to view neighbors next to any address – your own, your family or even your friends’ addresses.

Our Find Neighbors feature helps you take a look up and down the street to see who will be living nearby. More data is available on the listing summaries for each neighbor.

Scanning the street for your future neighbors is great way to find out if you’re moving into an older or younger neighborhood, or if there are more or less families on the street.

I was surprised to learn that there was a Doctor living just next door from our new home; since I’m also terrible with remembering names, the tool helped me address him by name when he dropped by for a visit.
