Tips On Buying A Home

We’re always talking to our users about ways they use our site. Going beyond simple people search, there are plenty ways WhitePages.com can help with various tasks and activities, including some you might not have thought of, like buying a home.

Educate yourself on the neighborhood and the seller before making an offer:
Start with a Reverse Address search. The Listing Detail page will contain lots of information on the neighborhood, and web results from our ‘Power Web Search’ tool can help you understand the seller’s interests better.

Great coverage today.

WhitePages.com continues to gain credibility as an industry expert when it comes to finding and connecting with people. The following article appeared in the Eagle-Tribune and was republished on the Boston Globe’s website.

Is This Considered Divine Intervention?

We’re getting beat by Bible software.

The Washington Software Alliance (WSA) will be handing out their annual Industry Achievement Awards next month, and this year they are looking for input from the community, via their public forum for the ‘Community’s Choice Award.’ Unlike the rest of the IAA, we are up against everyone, not just the products in our category. You can only vote once, so tell your friends, neighbors, colleagues, higher powers, deities, and anyone else you think of, to vote for us. You have to register a user name and password to access the WSA forums, but it takes less than a minute to do. We can’t promise you’ll go to Heaven if you vote for us, but we can promise that if you try the Mobile product you won’t be disappointed.

WhitePages.com - Here today… Here tomorrow…

As I approach five years with WhitePages.com, I’ve started thinking about what got us to where we are today, and will help guide us through the years to come.

We Found Cupid!

Well…we found him as long as you’re looking for Cupid Alexander, Benjamin Cupid or a few other people whose first or last name is Cupid in the United States. There are nine people with Cupid as a first name and 109 with Cupid as a last name. New York is the state with the most Cupids, California has the most Hearts and Texas has the bulk of the Loves. So if you’re in one of those states, keep your eyes peeled this Valentine’s Day.

Oh…and WhitePages.com is crowning Valentino Love in Michigan as the King of Valentine’s Day. Congratulations Valentino!
