This week in Barcelona, Spain we’ve been lucky enough to tout our suite of Android apps at Mobile World Congress as a featured partner at Google’s Android Booth. Though, to call it a booth is an understatement. Google has created a magnificent Android experience complete with Android shaped ice cream sandwiches, a bedazzling droid, an Android slide, a smoothie stand, and thousands of collectable Android pins.
Among some of the other Google partners are Netflix, Foursquare, BBC, StumbleUpon and fellow Seattleites, Glympse, and we’ve all been hard at work sharing our Android stories with the thousands of MWC delegates who pass by the booth everyday. And of course we’d like to think to they came by to check out the Android apps, but we suspect the ice cream sandwiches had something to do with it as well.
Thus far we’re having a blast sharing our Android apps with fellow mobile fanboys who love what we’ve done with the Android platform. WhitePages currently has 4 top apps in the Android market – Localicious, WhitePages, WhitePages Caller ID and WhitePages Caller ID Free – but the showstopper has been the sneak peek of our upcoming social caller ID app.
This new social caller ID app takes our current caller ID app to the next level by adding social elements to the mix. And it also demonstrates the possibilites of Android’s new operating system, Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS), by using the refined user interface of ICS that makes navigating the app simple, fast and intuitive.
We are grateful to be a part of this experience, and are especially grateful to our top-notch mobile engineers and mobile product managers who are constantly innovating and leading the wave in mobile!
