Lost and Found on WhitePages

John_thmA brief follow-up to the Lost Prada Purse post from a couple of weeks back.

A couple of weeks back, Amanda Bishop wrote about finding the owner of a lost Prada purse through Whitepages. (Michelle, next time you lose your purse, you’ll be stoked that you took the time to add your listing to our site!)
Well….according to this New York Times Story about losing things, it appears as if others are using the site for good as well.

Apparently, an employee at the Miami International Airport uses our site to track down travelers who have lost personal items. Everything from laptops (makes sense), to satellite equipment (huh?) to an urn full of human remains (really?!). Good to know that WhitePages is helping to spread good karma in the world. :)

If any readers have any similar stories, send them our way – we’d love to hear more!”

John
