Hi, I’m Bill Chapman, project manager of the WhitePages self-published listings development team. Back in April, we introduced cell phone listings, and we quickly followed that up with SMS text messaging. Today, we’re excited to announce another major milestone along our path to full self-publishing: we now offer email as the latest way to be found and connect for free on WhitePages!
We know that our customers are concerned about receiving spam, so we’ve provided an option to hide your email address and let WhitePages relay your messages to you for free.

Have you ever been nervous about sharing your email address, for example, with someone at an online auction site or Craigslist? Now you can just tell people to look you up on WhitePages – you’ll get the message, and can choose whether or not to respond. WhitePages listings are also a fast and simple way to be found by friends and neighbors without publishing your contact information.
Check it out by clicking the Add Your Listing tab on the home page.
Another new feature you’ll notice is Exclusive Listings. These are listings you won’t find elsewhere on the Net for free. But you can view these listings for free by signing up with your own cell phone or email listing. It’s as simple as that!
Stay tuned… we’re only just getting started. Lots more cool listing features are on the way!

Bill,
I have used your site for quite some time, and wanted to give you some feedback.
I really hate your new format, especially the search results. I understand it has more opportunities for advertising, but I just want to enter a search and get an immediate result. I don’t want to have to pick from a list of possible breakdowns of the search or refine the area. If I put in a business name and a zip code I don’t want the results in some random city or a website to come up first. It only irritates me and makes me want to use another information website.
Aaron,
Thank you for posting your feedback on our business search results. Not coincidentally, the search flow that you are referring to is something we are looking to improve!
Customer feedback drives many improvements to our products and services and we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts!
Best regards,
Robert Cox
