Hi Emily -- thanks for the suggestion! We have some coverage of 800 and telemarketer numbers in our Android Caller ID app. However, we're looking at better ways to handle this for iPhone and other mobile apps as well (incuding our LOOKUP short code, where you can text a number to find from any phone). Thanks again and we'll definitely look at this as a way to make our mobile apps even better!

Could you make it so that we can find out what the 800 and 877 numbers that are calling are? They call my cell phone and I have no idea who they are or what they want and I jsut got my number so I know they must be a telemarketer. If I Knew that they were calling I wouldn't waste my time or minutes by picking up the phone.
Thank You.

As far as I can tell, there is no way to see ALL the results of a search. It shows you 50 results even though there might be 75, and a button saying "see more results" or "see next 50 results" is nowhere to be found. Useless!

Hi Alex,

Unfortunately we don't support Canadian lookups in the iPhone app right now, but this is something we can look at doing in the future. Until then, you can go to whitepages.com using Safari on the iPhone and do Canadian searches there. Sorry about the inconvenience.

Best,
Bret Moore

hey, I love this app but I'm wondering if there is a setting that I'm missing so that my search results only search Canada instead of the US. Any thoughts?

We have released an update for the application and it includes a ton of great new features.
One to mention right off the bat, since the last comment brought it up, is the ability to delete individual recent results.
Another one that was mentioned in the comments here, and is more of a bug fix than a feature, is that the addresses are all stored correctly now when you save your search result to your Addressbook. So syncing with apps works much better now :).
Go and check out the update and keep the comments coming.

I'm forever concerned about personal privacy. One needs to be able to clear the recently searched results, optimally one at a time. It would also be handy to set the limit of recently searched results - defaulting to ten or so, but able to change it to two or twenty, let's say.
